Helping to build strength and stability within the community

HfHGB Homes have had the pleasure of hosting teams of volunteers on site from SEI Investments since 2015, on our Charlie Chaplin Adventure Playground project and Housing for Women’s Refuge in South East London. Since partnering with us, SEI have organised fundraising events, and clothing and toy drives for the two charities, developing a commitment and relationship far beyond what was expected.  To date they have contributed 63 volunteers, that’s 472.5 volunteer hours, over 9 days.

As soon as SEI began to work with CCAP, staff formed an affectionate attachment to the charity, and wanted to do more to help.  Everyone loves being on site, and we are very proud of the different projects we have been able to help with.  We look forward to working with everyone at CCAP for years to come” -Dominique Johns, Business Analyst SEI Investments.

This year we were able to complete the outdoor beach hut changing room, with the help of teams from SEI. In the spirit of building on our partnership, support and commitment to CCAP, SEI Cares (SEI’s grassroots charity foundation), kindly donated $5000 dollars towards the much-needed roof insulation at CCAP. Installing this roof insulation will not only mean no more leaks when it rains or a cold building when the children are taking part in indoor activities, but they will be able to rent the playground out for children’s parties. In doing so, they will be able to provide themselves with a stable form of income, which ultimately contributes to them being self-sustainable.

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to SEI for your support of Habitat for Humanity GB Homes and our charity partners.  We are extremely proud of the relationship we have built with you here in London, and are appreciative of all the efforts you have made to help us create stength, stability, homes and community.

It has been a pleasure working with Habitat over the last few years.  We have received so much support and encouragement, and have been made to feel like we’re really making a difference.  Volunteer days are always popular with staff, and have a very positive impact on the office.” -Dominique Johns, Business Analyst SEI Investments

It’s really exciting, not only to see this partnership with SEI develop, but also to see the impact that the improved facilities at CCAP are having on the children who use the playground”. -Gareth Hepworth, CEO HFHGB Homes.
