The Habitat for Humanity employee volunteering programme offers businesses an innovative way to support local communities and provide an outlet for staff to provide practical help for a cause that they are passionate about. We offer supervised opportunities, for teams of staff to volunteer alongside our construction professionals and trainees and build or renovate affordable homes.
Under experienced supervision, volunteers can get involved with a range of tasks from demolition to painting and decorating at various stages of the build or refurbishment. Volunteers have lunch provided, are insured for the day, receive a health and safety induction, are equipped with protective clothing and receive basic training. Depending on the size of the building project (mostly in London), we can accept teams of 5 to 15 volunteers (larger volunteer teams on specific projects are subject to approval).
The Business Case
We have over 20 years of experience of working with corporate partners and employee volunteers providing a bespoke service to our corporate and business partners. Each year we host hundreds of volunteers on our building sites, in London and beyond, to create homes for people in housing need. Our corporate partners support us in a variety of ways including by engaging with staff to take part in volunteer days.
